Grid LLC (“Grid”, “us”, “we”, “our”) is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy relates to all websites and mobile applications (“Apps”) owned or controlled by Grid LLC at any given time. Collectively, these will be referred to as “the Service” and will include any alternative means of offering or delivering our software and services provided in the future.

This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy, which govern how your personal information is handled.

Information you provide to us, which is voluntary and requested for the optimal use of the App. You may choose to provide none, some or all. You may update, amend, or delete this information at any time within the App. Personal information you choose to provide may include:

  • Number of dependents
  • Zip code/location of gaining and losing installation

Information you provide to us when subscribing to our Newsletter on our Website:

  • Name
  • Email address

INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

Information collected automatically, such as:

  • Log Data, which your browser sends whenever you access our Service. This may include information such as Your Device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
  • Usage Data, which provides insights into user behavior. This may include frequency of use, duration of interaction, features accessed, navigation paths, and user preferences.

We do not currently use Third Party Analytics, such as Google Analytics.

  • Third Party Analytics can be used to collect, monitor, and analyze Usage Data to improve Service functionality. Google Analytics has their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

We do not use cookies.

  • Cookies are small data files stored on your browser or device. Some may be used for remembering preferences or for services to function properly.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process Your Information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent. Your choice to provide Personal Information constitutes Your consent for the use of said information to provide our Service.

We use information collected:

  • To provide and maintain our Service.
  • To contact You, such as mobile push notifications regarding updates, improved functionalities, or to request feedback.
  • To email You with the Newsletter if subscribed.
  • For internal data analysis, identifying usage trends, evaluating and improving our Service and Your experience.
  • To provide and maintain our Service.

We do not respond to Do Not Track signals.

  • Do Not Track (DNT) is a concept that has been promoted by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), for the Internet industry to develop and implement a mechanism for allowing internet users to control the tracking of their online activities across websites. There is no uniform standard of responding and implementing DNT signals.

4. Sharing & Storing Your Information

We do not share Your personal information with any companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Grid. We may share non-personally identifiable, aggregated information with our partners – such as advertisers or developers.

We do not sell Your personal information to anyone.

We do not retain Your personal information. We may retain aggregated, non-personally identifiable Usage Data for internal analysis to improve the functionality of our Service.

5. Compliance with GDPR

GDPR refers to the EU General Data Protection Regulation. For the purposes of GDPR, Grid LLC is the Data Controller.

We have explained above what information is collected (see 2. Information Collected) and how it is used (see 3. How We Use Your Information). We have explained that we do not use Third Party Analytics (see 2. Information Collected), thus do not have a Data Processor. We have explained that Personal Information collected is only that which is provided by You voluntarily. You may choose not to provide any or all personal information, and you may choose to delete your Personal Information any time. Your choice to provide Personal Information constitutes Your consent for the use of said information to provide our Service.

If you are within the European Union (EU) / European Economic Area (EEA), You have specific rights under the GDPR to:

  • Be informed of Our Privacy Policy.
  • Access and request a copy of Your Personal Data.
  • Request correction of Your Personal Data that is incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Request deletion of Your Personal Data.
  • Object to processing or limit the processing of Your Personal Data.
  • Object to processing Your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes.
  • Request the transfer of Your Personal Data. This only applies to automated information which You initially provided consent for Us to use.
  • Withdraw Your consent to use Your Personal Data.
  • File a complaint with the Data Protection Authority about Our use of Your Personal Data.

This privacy notice section supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to Users who are residents of the State of California.

For the purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)/California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Personal Data means any information that identifies, relates to, describes or is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with You. We do not sell or share any Personal Data, regardless of User State of Residency. If we sold Your personal information or disclosed Your personal information for a business purpose, We will disclose to You the categories of personal information sold or disclosed.

You may exercise Your CCPA/CPRA Data Protection Rights by contacting us (see 10. Contact Us). You must provide sufficient information and describe Your request with sufficient detail that allows Us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. Once We receive Your request, We will disclose to You (covering only the 12-month period preceding the request):

  • The categories of sources for the personal information We collected about You
  • Our business or commercial purposes for collecting or selling that personal information

Under California Civil Code Section 1798 (California’s Shine the Light law), California residents with an established business relationship with us can request information once a year about sharing their Personal Data with third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If You are a California resident and you’d like to request more information under the California Shine the Light law, You can contact Us using the contact information in section 10.

7. Children's Data Protection

Our Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18.

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party’s site. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites.
